GUITAR INSTRUCTION: Delta Blues is a musical genre, which helped create a musical identity for America. Until the late 1800s, American music consisted of recycled European music. When African-American slaves carried the rhythms and music from their homeland in West Africa to the southern plantations of America the Blues was born. Very nice lesson...in fact I have thoroughly enjoyed all four lessons. I might suggest that it makes more sense to say that TJ's influence "cannot be overstated", rather than that is "cannot be understated." I know, picky, picky, picky...but the lessons are great.
Is there some Charley Patton or King Solomon Hill in the works? More Tommy Johnson or Fred McDowell would also be very welcome.
